The only thing constant…
They say that change is the only constant. I’m a true believer.
For example, within the last 60 days, a full 33% of our clients have had significant personnel changes.
That’s a lot of change in a very short period of time that we both have to manage through. But we’ve always been in the change management business.
From our very first meetings with prospective clients, the undercurrent of change is ever present. Moving SAP® based organizations into the world of B2B Digital Commerce is not for those that fear
change or for the faint of heart.
So what have we learned about change as we close out our seventh year in business at Corevist?
- Plan for change. It’s going to happen. Don’t be surprised by it. You can’t control it, but you can respond to it calmly if you’ve anticipated it.
- Have a friend. It’s a lot easier to deal with change when you have a trusted partner that you can lean on. It’s no fun going it alone.
- Communicate. The overwhelming aura of change is reduced to a more manageable size when you talk about it. If you can identify and inspect your fears or concerns about change, you can deal with them.
Change is in the air. I’m glad that you’re here.
